I pretty much spend my spare time stitching these days which leaves time for little else crafting wise. I am happy with that as I am so determined to finish this sampler, cross stitch typically stays unfinished in my home as I am easily distracted by new patterns.

As a dabbler in many (many) crafts I was a cross stitcher way, way, way back (circa 2000) but the style has always been very 'traditional'. It got me thinking about my blog and how it was my own 'unloved room'.

It is a truth universally accepted that annual leave travels faster than the speed of a normal week....
Although it travelled fast I had a wonderful week filled with all my favourite things as I had hoped, hobbies, time together, food, no travelling to London and just time indoors.
On Monday I sewed another project bag, and carried them all around the house - just because! Mark and I have a week off work starting tomorrow (it technically started Friday) and it's bliss.
Everyone keeps asking us 'what we are doing' to which we reply 'nothing'.
Of course we won't really be doing nothing, we will rest, create, just be. As my husband so wonderfully put it: 'when you spend so much time away from home all you what to do is just stay at home' and we do spend soCarlyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03156405692728493813noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4499428249083189060.post-77307067340492055302013-06-10T17:08:00.003+01:002013-06-10T17:08:42.896+01:00Time to myselfI went part time in the middle of April and the idea was to allow myself to recharge and rest as travelling to London every day was really taking it's toll on my body. Sadly with all the outpatient appointments that I have had recently it has been almost as though I was still working full time :( But today has been a recharge day just as I like it. A 'typical' work day starts at 5am when my alarm goes off (yuck)
I catch the commuter coach from the end of my road at 05:50 arriving in London at 07:00 depending on traffic.
I like to use this downtime to snooze, read, and browse my phone.

My advice to anyone always is: Be kind. Treat people how you wish to be treated. This beautiful artwork also goes further than that and it's true, we are all dealing with something in life. I always try to come from that angle if someone is complaining that people are unreasonable. It's Carlyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03156405692728493813noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4499428249083189060.post-49435407227469073972013-05-07T06:00:00.000+01:002013-05-07T06:00:11.798+01:00Day 7: Afraid
Day 7: The thing(s) you're most afraid of
I fear loss, separation, the end. Even though I have experienced all of those things they haunt me. I have nightmare about my loved ones dying or leaving me, my animals dying. I do not cope well with separation at all. I am deeply sensitive and this is and probably always will be my greatest fear.
So much so I get upset for Carlyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03156405692728493813noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4499428249083189060.post-20270711167462139042013-05-06T06:00:00.000+01:002013-05-06T06:00:04.669+01:00Day 6: What do you do?<!--[if gte mso 9]>
