I love: The Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery

I first 'discovered' the frosted pumpkin stitchery last year when I downloaded a cute Halloween cross stitch pattern which is waiting to be stitched!.

As a dabbler in many (many) crafts I was a cross stitcher way, way, way back (circa 2000) but the style has always been very 'traditional'.  Thankfully there are so many cute, fresh, young styles these days and these ladies definitely fit that bill.

They offer instant downloads of many cute designs but my favourite are the samplers they produce.

woodland sampler

In January I started the Woodland Sampler which is a year long project during which you stitch a design per month.  It has gone so fast and we are now halfway through!  How exciting and I am not behind (even more exciting) I love the work that has gone into this design, it is cute and detailed without being complicated.

Springtime Sampler

I am happy to say that in April they released the Springtime Sampler which I of course started - oh the cuteness.

Summertime Sampler

and this month they release the Summertime Sampler - be still my heart.

I chose to sew my designs on an evenweave linen, which does challenge my eyes (I had to get glasses) but it looks so much nicer as the gaps are less pronounced than an aida fabric.  I tend to be a really slow stitcher and I do make mistakes (a lot) but I am really looking forward to displaying these when they are all completed at the end of the year. (I also have a few to be stitched designs as well but that is a whole other story).

I really recommend a visit to their shop or check them out on Facebook you won't be disappointed.

(I am not affiliated with the pumpkins I just really, really love their work)
